Set up an automatic reply to emails you receive on your iPhone while on vacation.
Do you plan to be absent during your holidays? Disconnect completely by setting up an automatic reply to emails you receive on your iPhone. Provided you have a compatible email account (iCloud, account configured with Microsoft Exchange servers), an option is available directly in the configuration options of your email account. Here’s how to set up an automatic reply message on iPhone or iPad.
1. Open Settings
Go to iOS Settings, then in Accounts & Passwords, navigate to the email account for which you want to set up an auto-reply message.

2. Activate the automatic answer
At the bottom of the email account settings, enter the Auto-reply menu, then activate the Auto-reply function.

3. Set the duration
The setting up of the Auto Answer starts as soon as you save the Auto Answer settings. iOS does, however, allow you to choose an end date that will turn off automatic response without you having to do anything else.
Enter the End date menu and set the date on which you want the function to be deactivated.

Finally, in the “Absence message” field, enter the message you want to send automatically to all the people who will contact you during your absence. Confirm by pressing Save.
