Even if your iPhone is locked, some information, such as notifications, is still visible to other people. You can hide them to protect your privacy.
When your iPhone is locked, some functions are still accessible: you can, for example, consult recent notifications or the display panel of the day. But this information is also visible to anyone who has access to your smartphone. If you want to protect your privacy, know that it is possible to control the settings of the lock screen:
- From the Home screen, tap on the Settings icon, shaped like a gear, then select Touch ID and code in the list of options (Face ID for iPhone X users).

- Enter your PIN code and scroll down to get to the section Allow access in locked mode.

- You then have several switches that allow you to activate or not the functions available from the lock screen. For example, you can turn off theDay display and the Recent notifications, even the Control center.
And if you’re totally paranoid, flip all switches off except Siri’s if you regularly use Apple’s personal digital assistant.
