Quickly connect your iOS devices to the same Wi-Fi network by sharing the connection password.
Among the many new features introduced by iOS 11, there is an extremely practical one that allows you to share the connection password of a Wi-Fi network between two iOS devices.
Whether it’s connecting family members’ devices or giving out your login password with a passing friend, Wi-Fi password sharing in iOS works great and setting it up is trivial.
However, some prerequisites are necessary for everything to work without a hitch: if the device that originated the sharing must be already connected to the Wi-Fi network, the two devices must necessarily work under iOS 11, be placed in the immediate vicinity. each other with active Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, and must be present in each other’s address book.
1. Access the connection parameters
On the device that does not have the connection password, go to the iOS Settings, then access the Wi-Fi settings. Tap the name of the network to which to connect the device and wait for step Enter the password.
2. Share password
Unlock the device that is already connected. Logically, if the prerequisites are met, a Wi-Fi Password pop-up should appear instantly on it.
Tap the Share Password button. The Wi-Fi connection password should then be automatically entered on the device seeking to connect. When the connection is successfully established, the device that shared the password displays Done.
