Shell gets fast chargers at 100 new locations in the Netherlands

Shell is expanding the Dutch fast charging network with 100 new locations. Construction group BAM is responsible for installing the piles.

The new Shell Recharge charging stations will be installed near shopping centres, hotels and semi-public spaces of the oil and gas group’s real estate partners. There are already more than 180 Shell Recharge fast chargers across the country. These run on green energy and have a charging capacity of 175 kW. With this, an electric car can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in about twenty minutes.

BAM already has the necessary experience with charging solutions. The company has now connected more than 50,000 charging stations for private individuals. The new contract with Shell has a duration of three years. BAM will start implementation this year. Financial details have not been released. At the beginning of this year, Shell announced the goal of having 500,000 of its own charging points worldwide by 2025.
