The new Range Rover won’t be officially unveiled until next week, but can already largely be seen on leaked images. Land Rover is clearly going for an evolution of the current Range Rover, although the rear is strikingly different.

It is not entirely clear where the photos of the new Land Rover Range Rover come from. It seems to come from a French magazine and cochespias was there like the chickens to share the photos. They are undoubtedly not happy at Land Rover, but it already gives us a nice look at the new Range Rover.

You may have to look twice at the front to see that it really is an all-new Range Rover. There, the Land Rover design team is clearly on the path of evolution. Along the flanks, the Range Rover also retains its distinctive face, in a very minimalistic way. The biggest surprise can be seen at the back. The taillights as we know them have disappeared and make way for two very narrow ones that are optically connected to each other via a high-gloss black panel over the tailgate. It gives the Range Rover a significantly more modern look.

The sleek and minimalist lines of the body continue in the interior of the new Range Rover. Again, it has certainly remained recognizable, but everything just looks a lot tighter and more modern. The big eye-catcher is of course the large infotainment screen centrally on the dashboard, which seems to float above it. The latest version of Jaguar Land Rover’s infotainment system, Pivi Pro, works on it. Those who do not like rummaging on a touchscreen while driving will undoubtedly be happy to see that there are also physical buttons for, among other things, the climate control. The automatic transmission can also be operated via a traditionally placed selector lever.

Although the new Range Rover is broadly similar to its predecessor, it does look great on the new MLA platform. That may also offer space for a fully electric version, although nothing has been officially released about it yet. In any case, we have already been able to get used to the appearance, next Tuesday we will see and hear more.
