The instant messaging application introduced in a recent update a new function to send photos and videos visible only once by their recipient. Here is how to use it.
WhatsApp now allows you to send photos and videos that self-destruct after being viewed by the recipient. This new feature, recently integrated in an update of the application, allows you to send content that will only be visible once for a specified period of time, before being permanently deleted from the conversation.

1. Update WhatsApp
If you haven’t already, update WhatsApp by downloading the most recent version of the app on Android or iOS.
2. Insert a photo or video
Open an existing or new conversation and tap the camera icon to capture a photo or video on the fly, or select content from your device’s Camera Roll.
3. Activate the ephemeral send option
Once the photo or video has been selected, tap the 1 button displayed on the right in the message entry field.
The 1 turns blue and a message “Single view is activated for this photo” is displayed, confirming that the option has been correctly activated. You just have to validate the sending of your message
