
The instant messaging application includes a feature to send and receive your messages directly from your computer.
Juggling between your computer and your PC to respond to messages received on WhatsApp from your smartphone can waste precious time. While the most seasoned users undoubtedly already know the functionality, still too few people know that it is possible to use instant messaging from their computer.
WhatsApp has a web version launched in 2015, which offers the possibility of connecting your WhatsApp account on your computer, directly from your web browser.
Here is everything you need to know to enjoy it and send your messages on WhatsApp directly from your PC.
1. Go to WhatsApp Web
From your computer, launch your usual web browser and go to WhatsApp Web. The web version of the service displays instructions as well as a QR Code which will be used to associate the WhatsApp account of your smartphone with your web browser.

2. Scan the QR Code
To connect your WhatsApp account on your PC, open the application on your smartphone, go to Settings, and enter the WhatsApp Web / Desktop menu.

The camera of your smartphone is triggered, position it in front of the QR Code displayed on your computer screen, on the web version of WhatsApp.
By default, WhatsApp Web is configured so that your session remains active on your computer until you disconnect it. If you do not want to keep it active, remember to uncheck the option before scanning the QR code.

Once your WhatsApp account is connected to the web, make sure your smartphone remains connected to the Internet. WhatsApp Web connects to it to synchronize the messages received.
3. Activate notifications on your computer
To make sure you don’t miss a new message, click Get notified of new messages to Enable desktop notifications.

Then validate the notification authorization so that your web browser is able to display WhatsApp notifications on your machine.

4. Disconnect your session
If you want to disconnect your WhatsApp session on the web, open the application on your smartphone, and go to Settings, then in WhatsApp Web / Desktop.

Press Disconnect from all devices and confirm the disconnection of your session by pressing the appropriate button.
