Establish several simultaneous connections to the same service under different profiles, without having to change browsers or go private browsing.
Although social media apps generally support multi-account logins, their online versions rarely do. Whether it’s Facebook or Instagram, users who have multiple accounts officially have no choice but to disconnect their first account to be able to connect to the second.
While it is possible to work around this limit by opening a new instance of a service in another web browser or incognito window, there is an even easier way to manage all your accounts simultaneously from the same browser window. How? ‘Or’ What ? Thanks to Firefox Multi-Account Containers, the operation and installation of which we explain below.

1. Download Firefox Multi-Account Containers
First, download the Firefox Multi-Account containers extension for your browser. Developed by Mozilla, this extension allows you to isolate your Web pages in separate containers, organized by colors, and thanks to which you can simultaneously connect to different accounts on the same service.

2. Start with the extension
Once installed on Firefox, the extension takes place at the top right of the browser. A click on its icon is enough to open it.
When using for the first time, click on Get Started, then on Next several times in a row to skip the various extension presentation screens.
3. Use a container
By default, Firefox opens the sites you want to visit as it usually does. However, you can choose to isolate certain sites such as Facebook as well as all Google services within a Container, an individual space which separates the storage of the sites and allows individual management of cookies.
For Facebook, for example, click on the extension, and choose to open a Facebook tab. The tab integrating the Container opens.
To differentiate itself from the other tabs, a colored border is applied to it, while the name of the Container is also indicated in the address bar of the browser.
Then go to the site to which you want to connect several different accounts, in our case Facebook, and connect to your first account.
4. Connect a second account to a new instance
To connect to another account without changing browser, and without going to private browsing, click on the extension and press the + button to create a new personalized container.
Then enter the URL of the site you want to connect to, facebook.com in our situation.
Logically, if the Container is working properly, you should land directly on the social network login page.
While Firefox Multi-Account Containers is particularly useful in managing multiple profiles on social networks that do not support multiple logins, the extension can also be useful for logging into several different email accounts at the same time.
