Microsoft has just started rolling out the May 2020 update to some users. Take advantage now by forcing its installation manually.
The May 2020 update for Windows 10 is being rolled out. Microsoft has opened the floodgates for the major update to its operating system, which should be gradually available to all users.
If the new functionalities remain few, Microsoft has put the package in the improvement and the optimization of the functions already present in its OS.
For those who do not wish to wait for the update to be available in Windows Update on their machine, it is quite possible to force it to be installed. Here’s how.
1. Download the update wizard
First, download the Windows 10 Update Assistant. Microsoft is updating its tool to allow users to manually download the May 2020 update to their PC.
- Download Windows 10 Update Assistant (Free)
2. Start the update installation
Open the Update Assistant installation file you just downloaded and click Update Now.
The update wizard should normally verify that your computer is compatible with installing this update.

Downloading and installing the May 2020 update will then start and should take a little while.
Finally, to complete the installation of the update, your computer will restart several times. When the operation ends, Windows 10 will start and you will be able to take full advantage of the new features of the May 2020 update.
