Amazon’s video streaming platform now allows the creation of multiple profiles on a single account. Here’s how to create a profile for each family member.
Deployed for several months now in the United States, the option to create profiles on an Amazon Prime Video account is finally available in our latitudes. Until now, all users who are members of the same family connected to a single profile. As a result, when the youngest was doing the full Paw Patrol, the next user was invited to resume playing the last episode.
The arrival of profiles therefore significantly improves the user experience by allowing everyone to have their own profile. The operation can be performed both from a computer and from the Mobile application. Here’s how to create your own.
1. Go to your profile
Connect to Amazon Prime Video from your computer’s web browser, or launch the Prime Video app on your smartphone and go to the My Videos section.
By default, the app created a profile on behalf of the primary user of the Amazon account.

2. Create a new profile
Then click on the drop-down menu associated with your profile, and press New or Add a profile. You will be prompted to enter the name of the profile user and indicate if this is a child’s profile. If this is the case, the content offered on this profile will be filtered to display only videos suitable for children.
Then click on Save to validate the creation of the profile.

3. Change profile
Once the profiles are created on your account, each user will need to select their corresponding profile after logging into the Prime Video account.

To do this, all he has to do is tap on the profile selected by default (from the My videos tab on the mobile application), then choose the profile to connect to.
