The reaction of Apple and Google was quick, the two companies simply made the decision to ban the game of Epic Games from their application stores. What solution now remains for fans of the game who would like to be able to download again Fortnite on a new device? Although the game has disappeared from the App Store and Play Store, it is entirely possible to download and install it. Here’s how.
1. Download Fortnite on iOS
Fortnite has disappeared from the App Store. However, if you’ve downloaded the game at least once in the past, it should still be available in your purchase history. You can therefore download it again on any compatible iOS device on which you are logged in with your Apple ID which was used to download. Fortnite the first time.
To download the game from Epic Games again on your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and go to your Account.
Then enter the Purchases menu and then in the search field, type Fortnite. If you’ve purchased it in the past, the game should be in history. Then tap on the cloud icon to start downloading it.
As for your in-app purchases, they should always be there through your Epic account. However, it is impossible to download Fortnite for the first time on iOS. Apple does not allow alternative sources to the App Store on its mobile platform, which Epic Games criticizes.
2. Download Fortnite on Android
Fortnite Android gamers no doubt already know how to install the app outside of the Play Store. Until last April, the game from Epic Games was simply not available for download from the Android application store, already because of the 30% commission.
To get Fortnite on Android, users have no choice but to perform a manual installation, downloading the installer file in APK format.
