The latest Windows 10 update buries the old operating system control panel even more. The System page is officially inaccessible and links to the Microsoft OS Settings window.
If you have updated Windows 10 October 2020 update, you can officially no longer access the System page of the old control panel. Now, right-clicking on This PC (My Computer) will take you directly to the About page in the Settings window, System menu, of Windows 10.
The old control panel is indeed doomed to disappear, Microsoft wishing to put some order in its OS by grouping all the settings and parameters in the same place.
But for users accustomed to the ergonomics of the old control panel and who would not wish to change their habits, all is not lost. It is still possible to access it, and this in several ways. Here’s how.
1. Go to the System page of the control panel
To access the Control Panel System page, click the Start menu, find Control Panel, and open the app.
Then click in the address bar of the Control Panel, and paste the following path:
Control Panel System and Security System

You should automatically arrive on the System page of the old control panel.
2. Create a shortcut to access the System Control Panel
If you do not want to have to repeat the previous operation by hand each time you want to open the Control Panel, it is entirely possible to create a direct access shortcut.
To do this, go to the Windows 10 desktop, right click, then in New, choose Shortcut.

In the Create Shortcut window that appears, copy and paste the following line into the Enter item location field, and click Next:
explorer shell ::: {BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE}

Then enter the name of your shortcut, System Control Panel for example, and click the Finish button.

If everything went as planned, a new shortcut should appear on the Windows desktop.

You will now only have to click on it to directly open the Windows System Control Panel. You can also add it to the operating system taskbar by right-clicking, then choosing the Pin to taskbar option.
