Free up the space occupied by messages, photos and videos received on WhatsApp using the new storage manager integrated in the application.
Is the storage of your smartphone starting to look gloomy? Before deleting photos, videos and apps from your device, you might want to take a look at the storage side occupied by WhatsApp.
The instant messaging app, which locally stores all sent and received attachments (photos, videos, voicemail messages, etc.) can, over time, turn into a storage sinkhole.
But in recent days, WhatsApp has updated its application to include a tool entirely dedicated to managing the space occupied by the various content sent and received stored locally by messaging.

2. Go to Settings
Then go to Settings (iOS) or Settings (Android) of the application. On iOS, enter the Storage & Data menu and navigate to the Manage Storage menu.
On Android, go to Data and storage usage, then go to the Manage storage menu.

3. Review the data
There are two options for managing sent and received attachments. You can enter the Review and Delete Items section to view and select all the files you want to delete, or enter each of the threads individually to manage the items.

Then press the Select button, select the items to delete and press the trash can icon. You should be able to delete months, or even years, of forgotten, and mostly never viewed, attachments all at once.
