Find out how to set up the software so that your colleagues no longer hear what is going on behind your back.
1. Go to Teams settings
From the Teams window, click on your profile picture, and enter the Application Settings.

2. Change preferences
Then go to the section dedicated to Peripherals. If needed, scroll through the options, then in the Noise Removal section, expand the drop-down menu. By default, the noise reduction is automatically adjusted.

You can however choose to deactivate it, or to strengthen it, or on the contrary to decrease it. Microsoft Teams offers three levels of noise reduction. In Automatic mode, the application itself determines the level of noise reduction to apply based on the surrounding noise. By setting the setting to Low, Teams will take care of suppressing low-intensity background noises like your computer’s ventilation. Finally in mode High, Teams will suppress all ambient noise except your voice.
3. Activate noise reduction during a call
It is also possible to change the noise reduction settings directly from a meeting in progress. To do this, click on the options button represented by three small dots, and click on Device settings. Under the heading Noise cancellation, you will be able to change the level of noise cancellation.
