Easily access all the hidden settings of Windows 11 by activating the mode that makes you a god with a few clicks.
With Windows 11, Microsoft has made great progress in terms of ergonomics, especially when it comes to the System Settings panel. However, if the settings interface of the new OS from the Redmond firm is successful, access to some somewhat advanced Windows settings is not always easy.
Rather than having to navigate from menu to menu, it is possible to use God Mode, literally “God” mode. This option, which has existed since Windows 7, and also works under Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, displays a window listing a large number of operating system parameters, some of which are reserved for advanced users.
This “God Mode” is however not active by default. To access it, you have to perform a very simple little manipulation that will only take you a few seconds. The procedure is really within the reach of everyone, even if you are not an advanced user. Here’s how to do it.
Also to discover in video:
1. Create a folder on the desktop
Right click on the Windows desktop, then in New, select Folder.

2. Name the folder
Your new blank folder now sits on your desktop, rename it GodMode. {ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} (by copying and pasting) and validate by pressing the Enter key on the keyboard.

The folder icon should, in principle, automatically change to an icon shown in a control panel. If not, restarting Windows 11 should resolve the issue.

3. Access the settings
To access all the Settings offered by God Mode, double-click on the previously renamed folder.

A File Explorer window should open with inside a list of parameters, advanced settings, and hidden system functions.
