Microsoft has published detailed instructions to work around the limitations of Windows 11 and run it on machines whose configuration is not officially supported.
Are you eyeing Windows 11, but your brave PC does not meet the minimum requirements for installation? No problem, there is an official tutorial for that. As unbelievable as it sounds, Microsoft has posted step-by-step instructions online to work around limitations it has itself put in place to prevent Windows 11 from being installed on PCs that don’t meet its specifications.
As a reminder, the new Microsoft OS can only be installed on computers equipped with a TPM 2.0 module, supporting Secure Boot, and having an Intel or AMD processor listed in the chips supported by Microsoft. In reality, Microsoft explains that its operating system can easily be installed on PCs that do not meet all these criteria. However, your PC must have a minimum TPM 1.2 module.
Generous, but not reckless, Microsoft still warns users who risk performing the operation: they do so at their own risk. The manipulation requires the creation of a new entry in the Windows 10 registry, to allow the latter to launch the update to Windows 11 without checking whether or not the machine has the famous TPM 2.0 module. If you have an old machine running Windows 10 that is incompatible and unused, and you are tempted by the experience, here is the procedure to update your PC to Windows 11.
