Volkswagen Golf now also with 110 hp 1.0 TSI

Volkswagen expands the price list of the new Golf with a new, more powerful variant of the 1.0 TSI. This brings the total number of engine versions in which the Golf is available to six.

In mid-January, Volkswagen opened the order books for the new Golf. The Dutch importer hung a price label on the absolute basic version of the Golf, the variant with a 90 hp 1.0 TSI coupled to a manual five-speed gearbox. That power source is only available in the basic version that is simply called ‘Golf’. Those who wanted more petrol power were immediately dependent on the 130 hp 1.5 TSI, which changes owners from € 30,590. Volkswagen fills the gap between those two petrol engines with the 110 hp version of the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder.

Volkswagen only supplies the 110 hp 1.0 TSI in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox. The starting price is set at € 29,660. For that amount you will be given the keys of the Life version. The Golf with this engine version is also available as a Life Business and costs € 31,330. The Life version, like the basic version ‘Golf’, has LED headlights, air conditioning, lane assist, Digital Cockpit and an infotainment system that is linked to an 8-inch touch screen, but adds things like adaptive cruise control, alloy, Park Distance Control (front and rear), a leather-covered steering wheel, mood lighting, an induction charger and better seats.

Volkswagen also delivers the new Golf with a 150 hp 1.5 TSI that features mild-hybrid technology and is always paired with a seven-gear DSG transmission. Dieselen is possible with the 115 hp and 150 hp strong variants of the 2.0 TDI.
