Extra security in WhatsApp

Make a WhatsApp account extra secure and keep unwanted users away with two-step verification.

WhatsApp users can additionally secure their account with the so-called two-step verification. Enabling this feature will require you to enter a six-digit code each time you attempt to verify the phone number. This is a code of their own making, which the user comes up with when setting up the two-step verification. When setting up the security feature, WhatsApp also asks for an email address. This e-mail address is used if someone has forgotten the access code.

  • Tap the ‘Menu’ icon Menu in WhatsApp.
  • Tap on Institutions.

  • Tap on Ger. on the keyboard and then Next one.
  • Retype the email address and tap Save.
