Take it easy
(Image: Gameloft)
The lampposts come on at the end of the afternoon, the weather is nothing to write home about and some people already have Christmas lights in the front yard. It should be clear that autumn, and with it the blanket-on-the-couch season, has started again. Well, then you might as well enjoy a wonderful iOS game, right?
The Apple App Store has a wide range of games that offer something for everyone. It is therefore quite understandable if you can no longer see the forest for the trees. That’s why Mark lists 10 iOS games in this article that you can enjoy without a doubt.
Apple App Store: The 10 Best iOS Games
It doesn’t matter if you like football, puzzles or action, the App Store has a game that can meet your expectations. In addition to the regular range of games, there is also Apple Arcade, which gives you access to exclusive games for a fixed amount per month. In short: there is plenty to play. But which titles are really worth it? I’ll list them for you!
#1 Jetpack Joyride
Jetpack Joyride was a big part of my childhood and thanks to the new Plus version on Apple Arcade I still enjoy it to the full today. You take on the role of Barry who invades a laboratory. You steal a jetpack and have to make your way through the entire lab. Exactly how long that adventure will last is up to you. On the way you will encounter all kinds of obstacles such as bombs and zappers. By performing a number of missions it is possible to lift yourself to a higher level and change your appearance, among other things. To enjoy!
Jetpack Joyride can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store. Jetpack Joyride+ you in via Apple Arcade.

#2 Stardew Valley for iOS
Stardew Valley is one of the best games for anyone who has always wanted to own a farm. Or simply for people who feel like losing themselves completely in an iOS game. In the game you end up as a newcomer in a village and you get your own farm. It’s up to you to grow crops and make the farm as successful and beautiful as possible. But besides your duties as a farmer, you also have to deal with a number of mysteries, you do assignments and you try to find your place in society.
Stardew Valley costs €4.99.

#3 Football Manager 2022 Mobile
When the Dutch national team plays, our country suddenly consists of 17 million national coaches. So it would be nice if everyone could actually have the say for once. With the iOS game Football Manager 2022 Mobile luckily that’s fine. The series has been a success on the PC for years and also knows how to serve people on iOS and Android excellently. You choose a team that you have complete control over. You determine the strategy, scout players and ensure that the team performs at its best. In short: you do everything you can to guide your team through the competition as successfully as possible.
Football Manager 2022 Mobile is on sale for $9.99 in the App Store.

#4 Framed
framed is an example of an iOS game where the visual aspects alone ensure its success. Not a word is spoken in the entire game, but the story is very clear. I certainly don’t want to give too much away about the story, so let’s just say you have to stay out of the hands of the law.
framed will cost you $3.99 in the App Store. It is also possible to buy the game in a bundle. For € 6.99 you not only get part 1, but also part 2 at home.

#5 Hearthstone for iOS
hearthstone is one of those games that has really grabbed me for years. Every now and then I come back to the game and again I can’t stop playing. Logical, because it is also damn well put together. Activision Blizzard’s game was originally released for PC, but lends itself really nicely to iOS. You build your own deck of cards, play against opponents and try to make yourself more and more relevant. Earn new cards, level up and develop your characters.
hearthstone is free to play on iOS.

#6 Monument Valley II
Monument Valley is, just like framed, a fantastic visual game. The first part appeared on iOS in 2014 and managed to conquer the world. The second part, which appeared in 2017, managed to tackle things even better visually. In addition, the second part also features a gripping story that puts solving puzzles in a completely new light.
Monument Valley II is for sale for €4.99.

#7 The Oregon Trail for iOS
The Oregon Trail is only playable for people with Apple Arcade. Still, the game is worth mentioning, because you will notice that you will put a lot of hours into it. In this iOS game, you must complete an arduous journey to Oregon. You choose your group, collect items and have to survive along the way. That sounds easy, but it’s still dirty. The game ensures that the journey, just like it used to be in real life, is anything but easy. From deadly diseases to dangerous gangs, you’ll find them all.
The Oregon Trail can be played on iOS via Apple Arcade!

#8 Crossy Road
Crossy Road: another classic that quickly consumes your time. The concept is quite simple: you have to get across the road without dying. In everyday life, that goal is fairly easy to achieve, but in Crossy Road it might be difficult for you. Collect coins, develop yourself and set a record!
Crossy Road is free to play on the App Store. There is also a Plus version available through Apple Arcade.

#9 Among Us for iOS
Among Us is a fantastic game for the sleuths among us. The game, which is immensely popular, is a bit like a combination between werewolves and Who is the mole?. Only a little more bloody. You are on a ship with a bunch of other travelers and have to make sure that all kinds of tasks are performed. The only problem is that one of the travelers is a murderer and thus makes that goal impossible. It’s your job to unmask the killer, together with the other players. Or are you secretly the person who is sabotaging things?
Among Us is free to play on iOS.

#10 Temple Run
10 years old and still worth it: Temple Run is, just like Jetpack Joyride, a wonderfully nostalgic title. In 2011, the game was released by Imangi Studios and it was a huge success. In this iOS game, which you under the category Endless Runners To scissors, you have to survive like a real Indiana Jones. You run away from all kinds of dangers that the jungle has to offer. From tricky booby traps to a demonic monkey, you’ll have to deal with a lot of problems. A wonderful game with which you can easily put your mind to zero.
Temple Run is free to play on iOS.
