Jeep shows a facelifted compact Renegade in Brazil. Although … Jeep mainly shows a lot of camouflage material.
The Jeep Renegade seems made for Europe with its compact exterior dimensions, but it is a real world car. In addition to its home country of the United States, it is also on the menu in Brazil, for example. Jeep’s PR department in that country now shows a tightly camouflaged Renegade. If the car is new where camouflage has been applied, then we are looking at a practically all-new Renegade. However, that seems unlikely, because what we do see is very recognizable. We therefore expect a fairly subtle facelift, after the Renegade was tightened up for the first time in 2018 (also in Brazil).
What exactly is new is not so easy to spot. For example, the LED rings around the headlights have been on it since 2018 and the layout of the front bumper is also very similar to what we already know from the Renegade. However, it seems that the grille is a little less high, which leaves room for a bumper that just grows a bit and should end higher. This especially applies to the middle part (see photo below), which is therefore somewhat flatter than the part that houses the headlights. If that is correct, it will undoubtedly result in a visually wider and perhaps sturdier Renegade.
In a video, which is also made public by Jeep Brazil, we also believe we see differently arranged headlights. Now the LED dipped beam is in the center of the unit, while the light on the cars shown clearly shines on the road from the top half. The double ‘line’ through the unit, clearly visible in the main photo, also appears to be new.
Unfortunately, it is not yet clear to what extent a facelifted Renegade is relevant for Europeans. If all goes well, this modified Renegade will see the light of day in Brazil in the first quarter of 2022.
