Cadillac InnerSpace Autonomous Concept – Only for when it’s not raining

Peace, comfort and convenience, that’s what the Cadillac InnerSpace Autonomous Concept is all about. As soon as the doors are opened, the entire roof goes up immediately to make boarding easy. Hopefully it will be dry outside by then.

Cadillac InnerSpace Autonomous Concept – Only for when it’s not raining

Cadillac’s latest InnerSpace Autonomous Concept was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. According to the Americans, the huge but streamlined coupe came straight from the future. And as befits a real future car, it does it all by itself. The InnerSpace is intended to make the passenger’s journey as pleasant and comfortable as possible. And then driving yourself is of course out of the question.

Legs up and drive away

With its flowing lines and strongly overhanging buttocks, the enormous coupé looks really beautiful. Still, according to Cadillac, it’s all about the interior. As soon as you open the doors (and therefore also the roof), the comfortable reclining armchairs turn towards you. With the flesh resting in the soft seats and the shoes on the footstool, you can start relaxing. No steering wheel, pedals or informative dashboard, the car does everything itself. The forward view is completely dominated by a gigantic LED display. Through artificial intelligence and input biometric data, passengers can enjoy augmented reality, an extensive range of entertainment options and various wellness programs, completely personalized to your own taste.

Tires of soy and rice

As is often the case with such concept cars, Cadillac does not release much about the motorization of the InnerSpace Autonomous Concept. We know that it is electrically powered and that the batteries are scattered all over the car. However, further specifications are omitted. Cadillac is paying more attention to the newly developed tires. The rubber around the gigantic rims is made up of soybean oil and rice husks. In addition, they are optimized to filter out as much noise and vibrations from the outside world as possible. Durable and comfortable.

Carefree travel?

In the impossible scenario that the InnerSpace Autonomous Concept will ever go into production, passengers will not be short of anything anyway. They also don’t have to worry about anything. At most, the cladding: how do you keep it dry when the roof comes up?
