Volkswagen ID Buzz coming in March

Volkswagen ID Buzz coming in March

It took a while, but Volkswagen finally knows when we will see the production version of the all-electric ID Buzz. In March the time has come.

The expectations for the Volkswagen ID Buzz are high, not least because we have been preparing for its arrival for years. Already five years ago, the brand presented the concept version and then Volkswagen already promised that the production ID Buzz should be on the market in 2022. That year has now arrived and they are keeping their word.

Following the teaser photos from just before Christmas, Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess now shows the ID Buzz on Twitter again. The new images do not bring any news, but the announcement that comes with it does. On March 9, the time has finally come and the ID Buzz will be revealed.

“The legend returns,” said Diess. He is of course referring to the T1 and T2 on which the design of the ID Buzz is inspired. It will of course be a different concept. After all, the ID Buzz does not have an air-cooled boxer engine in the back, but an electric drive. Furthermore, it will not be the epitome of functional simplicity, but rather an important showcase of Volkswagen’s efforts in the field of autonomous driving. The ID Buzz will be launched on the market as a passenger van and as an ID Cargo van.
