Nissan Fairlady Z as Customized Proto

Nissan Fairlady Z as Customized Proto

Nissan combines the Tokyo Auto Salon with the market launch of the new Z, called Fairlady Z in Japan. Nissan immediately shows an externally modified sports coupé.

Nissan finally gave the 370Z a successor in 2021. With the new Nissan Z called sports coupe, Nissan translates classic design elements from models from the Z-line to the present and combines this visually interesting cocktail with a 405 hp and 475 Nm strong 3.0 V6 with two turbos. Unfortunately, the Z will not come to Europe, but will be on the Japanese market as Fairlady Z. The market launch of the Nissan Fairlady Z coincides with the presentation of the Nissan Fairlady Z Customized Proto.

The Fairlady Z Customized Proto is, according to Nissan, a nod to the Fairlady Z432R, a special version of the first generation Fairlady/Z with the power plant of the then current Skyline GT-R. The numbers in the Z432R part of the name stand for four valves per cylinder, three carburettors and a twin camshaft. Like the Z432R of yesteryear, the Nissan Fairlady Z Customized Proto has several black exterior parts. We see, among other things, a partly black hood, a black roof, black side mirrors and black finish around the larger rear spoiler. Not only are the tires of this dressed Fairlady/Z striking, the front also attracts attention. The large gaping mouth of the regular version has been cut in two. Of course, special spoiler work all around cannot be missed.
