Philips TV launches the better-performing Philips 8807 Ambilight TV and the multifunctional Philips B8507 3.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar. Read the specifications below.

For many Dutch people, the Philips brand is something we can be proud of. Although Philips is selling more and more business units, quality is often guaranteed. This certainly applies to the televisions that come from TP Vision, which has its head office in Amsterdam.

Philips is of course known for its televisions, such as the Philips OLED+986 and OLED+936. Philips now comes with an improved Philips 8807 Ambilight TV and multifunctional Philips B8507 3.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar. With this Philips wants to be The Onecontinue to spread the message. This means that the Performance Series products that include these two products offer the same performance, quality European design and the features of a premium model but at a competitive mid-range price.
The Philips 8807 Ambilight TV series comes in different sizes: 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 86 inches.

The Philips 8807 Ambilight TV features a minimalist design with an ultra-thin silver border on both the sides and top. These provide a more direct connection to the three-sided Ambilight system.
The bottom of the Ambilight televisions with a size from 43 inch to 65 inch has a very narrow silver border and a slim, slanted center stand. The larger models, the 77 inch and 86 inch, have so-called silver ‘sticks’ as standard.

Performance Philips 8807 Ambilight TV
The Philips 8807 Ambilight TV performs better thanks to the new 5th generation P5 Picture Processor and the screen supports 120 Hz this year. The improved P5 processor monitors the current ambient light and can therefore adjust brightness, gamma and colors in real time. Furthermore, HDR support includes HLG, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ compatibility.
According to Philips, the performance of the 8807 Ambilight TV is excellent for gamers thanks to its HDMI 2.1 capabilities, including e-ARC, VRR support for 4K from 48Hz to 120Hz at a full 48Gbps bandwidth, plus FreeSync Premium compatibility and Auto -Low-Latency Mode.
The input lag is 9 ms and the new on-screen game bar gives quick access to picture and sound settings via a simplified menu. This allows game settings to be quickly adjusted while gaming. Furthermore, gamers can also easily enable VRR and AMD FreeSync. The Philips 8807 Ambilight TV has two downward-firing speakers and a system power of 20 watts.

Wireless Connected Sound
The Philips 8807 Ambilight TV is part of the Philips Home Wireless system. For example, an app-driven high-resolution audio streaming platform can be created for the entire home with a simple wireless connection between compatible TVs, mobile devices, sound bars and speakers. In addition, the The One B8507 soundbar offers an all-round audio upgrade.
A new update for 2022 offers the possibility to use the Ambilight television as a special center channel. By adding both front and rear speakers and a wireless subwoofer, users can create a surround sound AV system.

Price and availability
The Philips 8807 Ambilight TV will be available from May 2022. The price is still unknown.
The Philips B8507 soundbar will be available from June 2022 for a suggested retail price of € 399.99.
