Suzuki unveils MotoGP Editions of GSX-S950 and GSX-S1000

Blue and silver grey: these are the colors of the Suzuki GSX-RR with which Joan Mir became world champion in MotoGP in 2020 and with the same color combination, Team Suzuki Ecstar will again compete in the top class of motorsport this year.

In the past, when Supersport bikes were still sold in droves, this would undoubtedly have led to GSX-R MotoGP Limited Editions, but for the one R that is still being sold, that is not at all interesting.

Reason for the brand from Hamamatsu to move that idea to the GSX-S family and that was not such a bad idea at all. According to Suzuki, the MotoGP Edition is the ultimate special for the GSX-S950 and GSX-S1000.

With the MotoGP livery and all the accessories from the Street Xtreme Pack – a Yoshimura exhaust, Suzuki handlebar weights, a short license plate holder, a duo seat cover, sleek mirrors and bobbins – the modern nakeds from Suzuki look tougher than ever.

The standard indicators of the GSX-S950 are also replaced by dynamic LED indicators. The GSX-S1000 MotoGP Edition already has LED turn signals as standard.

Even more extensive are the MotoGP Edition + variants, where frame sliders and a luxury seat with the GSX-S logo have been added to the long list of accessories.

The MotoGP Editions of the GSX-S950 and GSX-S1000 are available to order directly from the Suzuki Motorcycle dealer and only available in the Blue and Silver Gray livery (YSF: Metallic Triton Blue).
