It has recently become possible to clear the Continue Watching row of your Netflix account. This is a welcome addition, since that row will probably suffice with content that you are no longer interested in. How do you do that exactly?
The Continue Watching row on Netflix is a row of titles you are currently watching. These can be movies, series or documentaries that you once started, but don’t look any further. In addition, new or remaining series episodes of shows you follow will also appear here.
In principle, the row is very useful. Because after opening the app or website, you’ll see what you can watch in no time. You don’t have to search for content that you are more interested in. But we can imagine that sometimes you start something that you don’t feel like doing anymore. And then?

Previously, it was not possible to manually remove the title in question from the personal row. Not so surprising, because Netflix secretly wants you to continue watching. Despite that, the titles disappeared from the list after a few weeks, because let’s be honest: we don’t need a filled content row with uninteresting titles.
Many users have therefore been asking for the option to manually clear the row for years. And now that is actually possible. This way you decide for yourself which content is in the queue and when certain content disappears. Very nice for the overview.
The new option is already present in the apps for mobile devices, smart TVs and streaming boxes. You will also find the option on the web. But where exactly and how do you proceed?
- Open Netflix on the web or within an app on a smart device
- Go to the Continue Row (usually at the top)
- Select the content you want to remove from the list (be careful not to play it by accident)
- In the list of options that appears, scroll down a bit
- You are looking for the option Remove from row
- Click on it and the title will disappear from the Continue reading row
Adding a title to the row is completely automatic, as you may have noticed. To do this, you start a film, series or documentary and stop watching after a few seconds. Then the content appears in the Continue row.
