In the ninth and final installment of the Ducati World Premiere 2022, Ducati has unveiled the new Panigale V4 SP2, the new top model of the Superbike family that, according to the Italians, is even more intuitive and easier to ride, even for those who don’t like the Miller or Miller name. Listen Bagnaia.
“Carbon rims, Brembo Stylema R calipers, MCS radial master cylinder, dry clutch, 520 chain, billet Rizoma footpegs and a special kit for track use”, that’s the new Panigale V4 SP2 in a nutshell.
According to Ducati, the technical specifications of the “SP” must have maximized the racing characteristics of the Panigale V4 and include all improvements made to the 2022 version.
Or as they say: “The Panigale V4 SP2 is distinguished by its equipment with the typical technical specifications of the abbreviation “SP” (Sport Production) combined with all the improvements that the Ducati engineers have made to the Panigale V4 2022. to create the highest performing Panigale ever.”
And we want to believe that, at the end of last year we were already quite impressed with the new Panigale V4 S and this is clearly the superlative. Otherwise, read for yourself the rest of Ron on the Jerez circuit.
The “SP2” version features an even more powerful braking system, lightweight carbon rims, final drive and dry clutch sourced from WorldSBK engines, racing footpegs and a range of carbon components.
In addition, you get a lot of parts to make it roadworthy for the track: billet aluminum covers that replace the mirrors, a kit for removing the number plate holder and an open carbon clutch cover.
The result is “The Ultimate Racetrack Machine”: a special model, ideal for the non-professional rider who wants to experience track days and challenge his own records.
The Panigale V4 SP2 is characterized by the special “Winter Test” livery, which combines the matt black of the fairings with the matt carbon finish of the rims and winglets, contrasting with the bright red accents and the brilliance of the visible brushed aluminum tank.
The dual profile design winglets feature the Italian flag also featured on the official Panigale V4 R SBK. The lower part of the fairing is distinguished by the presence of the Ducati Corse logo in the area of the new hot air extraction vents and by a red detail with the motorcycle’s name, also present on the black double material seat.
The triple clamp is machined from solid material and shows the motorcycle’s progressive number, making each model unique.
The new Panigale V4 SP2 will be available from April 2022, prices from €45,990 in the Netherlands and €39,490 in Belgium.
