Yet again (not)
Auto China 2022, either the Beijing or Beijing auto show, seems to be canceled again this year due to the corona virus. It doesn’t stop there, at least not in China.
The news is officially still a rumor, but it comes from Reuters, to be taken very seriously. That states that ‘sources’ say that the organization of Auto China is again forced to suspend things, after that already happened in 2020. The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition is a biennial event.
According to those sources, it concerns a postponement and not a cancellation, but they do not yet know a concrete new date. Auto China is officially scheduled for April 21 to 30.
Compared to the way the population is treated, the number of corona infections in China is virtually nothing, according to official figures. However, there is a clear increase, which would be due to the so-called BA.2 subvariant. The Chinese government is still aiming for maximum elimination of infections where possible, so the slightest increase quickly leads to serious measures.
