In the ‘Wild & Exotic Animal Wallpaper’ app, the malware tried to hide with an icon other than the one indicated and by adopting the innocent name ‘SIM Tool Kit’. The app tried to show advertisements on your phone unsolicited and the same happened with the app ‘Magnifier Flashlight’.

Furthermore, the above four photo editors and horoscope app attempted to steal users’ credentials through a fake Facebook login screen. ‘PIP Pic Camera Photo Editor’ is the most downloaded app on this list and was on millions of devices at the time the malware was discovered.

The malware apps “Recovery”, “Driving Real Race” and “Компенсация НДС” also allowed users to lose real money. The latter app was only aimed at Russian users. Are you worried about malware on your phone? Then read about 5 signs that may indicate malware.
