Completely in line with the new corona measures, the Central Bureau of Driving Skills (CBR) has announced that it will extend the exam stop by less than a month. As a result, 22,000 different exams will be canceled.
All exams until April 28 had already been canceled, but the CBR will extend this stop until at least May 20. That reports magazine Driving school pro. Just like last time, the CBR made this choice after a new announcement from the government and RIVM. Until May 20, approximately 22,000 theory and practical exams, interim tests and driving tests were planned for all driving license categories.
To avoid disappointment of candidates in the future, the CBR will cancel all currently planned theory and practical exams for the car for the rest of the year. The 2020 agenda is therefore temporarily completely emptied. Candidates who have already paid will be able to set a new date free of charge. That may therefore still become normal this year, depending on how the corona measures will be a little further in the future.
Earlier this week, CBR director Alexander Pechtold said that the CBR was working on possible solutions to resume exams. For example, the places where theory exams are taken would be further separated and a special foil was looked at between the examiner and the exam candidate. Pechtold said it would be up to government measures if all this was possible. That appears to be not yet the case for the time being.
