Low point in the Netherlands reached?

Not only have fewer new passenger cars been registered in the European Union for the umpteenth month in a row, but also fewer vans have been registered. In June, the number of registrations was almost 27 percent lower than in the same month last year. In the first half of 2022, the number of new registrations of delivery vans will be almost 25 percent lower than a year earlier.
In June, 115,080 new light commercial vehicles (up to 3.5 tons) were registered in the European Union. That is slightly more than in May, but 26.8 percent less than the 157,270 copies registered in June 2021. Now that the figures for June have been received, it is also clear how the registrations are in the first half of 2022. They are certainly not the best.
In the first six months of 2022, 653,731 new light commercial vehicles were registered in the European Union. That is 23.9 percent less than in the first half of 2021 (858,958 units). In the Netherlands, 5,980 new commercial vehicles were registered last month. That was only 0.7 percent less than in June 2021 when 6,022 copies were registered. If we look at the first six months of this year, the number of newly registered light commercial vehicles with 31,693 units remains a good 19 percent behind the 39,337 units registered in the first half of 2021.
In France, 36,436 (-22 percent) new company cars were registered in June and about 183,300 units (-24 percent) in the first half of 2022. In Spain, the registration counter for the first half of 2022 stands at 56,907 copies, more than 35 percent lower than after the first six months of 2021.
