Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and GTAm provisional price announced

The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and the even more hardcore Giulia GTAm make many car enthusiast’s mouth water. Anyone who has become avid of it must have a strong bank account. Alfa Romeo announces that the GTA has a Dutch target price of well over two tons.

That Alfa Romeo has not just indiscriminately revived the GTA designation, it becomes clear if we take the specifications of the Giulia GTA into account. The normally already 510 hp Giulia Q (which served as the basis for the GTA) is clearly surpassed by the no less than 540 hp GTA. The 100 kilos lighter GTA therefore sprints from 100 seconds to 100 km / h from a standstill. The weight savings are due, among other things, to the use of carbon fiber for the hood, roof, front bumper, front and rear screens and even the drive axle.

A series of exterior changes and a largely Alcantara-covered interior take the Giulia further to unprecedented sporty heights. Of course, aerodynamic smarts from Sauber and major adjustments to the chassis ensure that things also have to go a lot better through the bend than is the case with the Q. The GTAm (photo 3 and 4) goes one step further, because it is even more extreme. A rear seat is missing for further weight savings and, among other things, a large carbon fiber rear spoiler distinguishes this track-oriented Giulia from the ‘normal’ GTA version.

The GTA and GTAm versions make the Giulia an unprecedented monster and that is unfortunately clearly reflected in the price tag. The Dutch importer informs Techzle that the provisional prices may still change as more is clear about the CO2 emissions of both versions, but communicate a provisional price of € 230,000 for the GTA and € 236,000 for the GTAm. Of course, these are different times, but the Giulia GTA is therefore more expensive than the coupé version of the 8C at the time. Then of course you have something super exclusive at your doorstep: only 500 pieces of the GTAs are built.

Special version with Dutch touch

Alfa Romeo has good news for those who are still not exclusive enough with a ‘normal’ red GTA, for example. The Centro Stile Alfa Romeo design center has poured into the GTA and conjures up various special designs from the top hat. This includes a tribute to Dutch racing success (photo 7 and 8). In 1970 and 1971 it was namely driver Toine Hezemans who pulled the longest end in the European touring car championship with the Alfa Romeo 1750 GTAm and the 2000 GTAm respectively. The ocher yellow color of the special version, in combination with the classic white striping, reminds us of those cars. In addition, there are several other colors or special historically sound color schemes to choose. The regular GTA and GTAm are already to configure and you can choose from the three colors of the Italian flag as the base color.
