Porsche Macan EV

The fully electric Porsche Macan, which appears next to the regular Macan, was recently able to prove itself with heavy pulling work. Now the electric SUV can show its sporty character in test work on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife.

An SUV from Porsche should not only be practical, but of course also sporty to drive. Whether the brand-new electric brother of the Porsche Macan also has what it takes in that area is tested in the ‘Green Hell’. The specimen photographed on the Nordschleife still has the same camouflage as the electric Macan that was recently spotted with a Porsche Cayenne behind it on a tow rope.

At the front, the ‘Macan EV’ differs from the regular Macan with its Taycan-like headlamps, at the rear we see quite high placed light units that are disguised as those of the 911. Expect a strip of LED lighting in between that connects the two rear lights. knots, as we see on many models today. For the time being, it seems that the electric Porsche Macan will always have a relatively sloping roofline at the back. More oblique than that of the already well-known Macan, which, as mentioned, will remain in the range next to this electric version. It remains to be seen whether the electric Macan bears the name Macan or will have its own name. We already saw the liked suggestion ‘Maycan’ in the comments.

The electric Porsche Macan, we will continue to call it that, is on the PPE platform. This is a new EV basis for cars that are higher in the market than the Volkswagen Group’s MEB models, specifically models from Porsche and Audi. Audi’s counterpart Q6 E-tron is also on that basis. PPE brings promising charging technology, because a charging capacity of 270 kW should be possible. Good for recharging a range of 300 km in about ten minutes. Next year it should be possible to test it in practice, because then we expect the market introduction.
