As useless as funny

Zeekr is an interesting brand of Geely, a sister brand of Volvo that offers an almost 5 meter long electric hatchback with the 001. It is that Zeekr 001 who broke not one, but two Guinness World Records.
Rewind to March 2021, the month in which we were introduced to the Zeekr 001. The Zeekr 001 was the production version of a Lynk & Co study model, so it is not so surprising that the 001 is particularly strong on cars like the Lynk & Co. Co 01 seems. The Zeekr 001 is 5 meters long at a few centimeters and in its most powerful form has two 543 hp electric motors. Zeekr now knows how to bring the 001 to the attention again. The Chinese EV has broken two Guinness World Records.

Breaking records is, of course, an activity that can be questioned, especially if the records in question will never make the world a better place. In this case, it is about records that provide a lot of fun, at least during the attempts to set them. The Zeekr 001 is the electric car that has made a drift at the highest measured speed. The 001 slid sideways with screeching tires and at a speed of 207.996 km/h. The previous record was 160 km/h. The Zeekr 001 is able to zoom to a speed of 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Then the Zeekr 001 also managed to slalom 50 traffic cones in 49.05 seconds. That was fast enough for a second Guinness World Record. Zeekr says he will do everything he can to not make ‘boring electric cars’ and hopes to have proved that by establishing these two records that are as useless as they are funny.
