Choose well

One car is not the other, but one car insurance is not always the same as the other. Not even if the coverage is identical. For example, the difference in the annual premium to be paid for the same insurance between providers can be up to €850.
We all know that it is wise to compare the premiums of the many providers when taking out insurance. This also applies to taking out your car insurance. Pricewise comparison site compares various almost identical car insurance policies from various providers. The difference in premium between the cheapest and most expensive car insurance with the same coverage can amount to no less than €850 on an annual basis. That equates to a difference in the monthly premium of up to €70.
Pricewise has taken a fictitious calculation example in which a Renault Clio from 2014 with a petrol engine must be insured. The hypothetical owner is 36 years old, lives in the postcode area of Amsterdam, drives 12,000 kilometers per year, is looking for third-party liability insurance and has eight claim-free years. For the most expensive third-party liability insurance, the fictitious owner pays €1,230 on an annual basis, while the cheapest third-party liability insurance costs only €380 on an annual basis. Important here: for both the cheapest and the most expensive WA+ insurance in the calculation example, the premiums are calculated on the basis of the same postcode area.
Insurers determine the premiums more than once on the basis of the postcode area because the chances of damage are taken into account. For example, you often pay a higher premium if you live in a city than in a small village. In general, the ‘more expensive’ the postcode area, the greater the differences between the cheapest and most expensive insurance policies. According to the same calculation example, the premium difference between the most expensive and cheapest car insurance in Almera is €560 on an annual basis and €400 in Geeuwenbrug in Drenthe.
