Ferrari resumes production after almost two months

Good news for Ferrari; the famous Italian brand has been able to resume production. The factories in Maranello and Modena were shut down for almost two months because of the corona virus.

Of all European countries, Italy was the first to be hit really hard by the corona virus, and public life had completely stopped in recent months. This week, the lockdown has been partially lifted, which also offers the Italian industry the opportunity to get back to work. The Ferrari factories in Maranello and Modena, both located in the hard-hit north of Italy, have therefore started work again this week.

Production should resume fully by the end of the week, albeit under strict measures to prevent a resurgence of the coronavirus. All in all, Ferrari’s car production has come to a standstill for almost two months, because everything closed on March 14. Ferrari has its 4,000 employees all tested for Covid-19 to ensure safe conditions. In addition, wearing a mouth mask is mandatory and the factory is cleaned extra. Employees who still test positive for the virus are financially supported by Ferrari and Ferrari contributes to the shelter for the two-week quarantine.
