Hello,
I am fully convinced that god does not exist, but I must add that I would be “pleasant” (or hope) that he does exist. The reason for this lies in the better prospect after life.
Am I still an atheist or an agnostic?
Answer
From an atheistic point of view you may be an unbeliever, from a religious standpoint rather than a ‘searching’ believer.
It’s a bit analogous to someone who no longer believes in marriage (because of negative experiences?) but secretly hopes that he/she will meet someone who could make it work… Seems a bit contradictory, but is it? not the individuality and charm of people: a little irrationality mixed with rationality and vice versa?
