Ford Focus ST Track Pack

The Ford Focus ST gets a little sharper. At least for those who want it. Ford is making a new package called Track Pack available for the top version of the current generation Focus.

With its 280 hp and 420 Nm strong 2.3-liter four-cylinder, the Focus ST is certainly not a childish boy. The hottest version of the current Focus generation – after all, there will be no RS version – reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and can continue until the 280 km/h is on the counter. Ford makes the Focus ST now a notch sharper by putting Track Pack on the option list, although you should not count on extra power.

The Focus ST with Track Pack gets an adjustable coilover from KW Automotive. The dampers make the Focus ST up to 50 percent stiffer than the regular Focus ST and, together with the adjustable coil springs, ensure that the car is 1 to 2.5 centimeters closer to the asphalt.

In addition, the Track Pack includes a set of 19-inch wheels that are 10 percent lighter than the conventional ones. Behind it hides 36.3 centimeters large writing and Brembo brake calipers at the front. On a standard Focus ST, the discs at the front have a diameter of 33 centimeters. The Focus ST with Track Pack is endowed with a series of black accents on the outside.

Then the bad news. The Track Pack will not be on the order list in the Netherlands, although the option can be checked in Belgium, Germany and France, among others.
