I’m 15 and my girlfriend is 14. We’ve experimented a bit together, but we haven’t had sex or oral contact yet. We would like to start with oral contact, but are afraid of contracting or passing on an STD. We’ve never done anything before, not even with another person. We don’t know whether we have an STD or not, we don’t think so ourselves and we don’t have any complaints, but we want to be safe! Dear Alex,
I understand your concern, and it is good to be aware of possible STI risks.
If you tell them that neither of you have had previous sexual contacts, there is no chance that you or your partner are infected with an STD.
If neither partner has an STD, the risk of contracting one is non-existent. The risk of an STI only exists if one of the partners is infected, and therefore has had previous sexual partners. To make sure that neither of you has an STI, you can always have a check-up with your doctor.
