Today marks exactly 60 years since the first James Bond film Dr. No premiered in London. Building on the partnership since No Time to Die, Triumph is celebrating with the release of a super-exclusive Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition. It is strictly limited to only 60 pieces worldwide!
They were very proud of that at Triumph, of the new partnership with James Bond as an official motorcycle partner. That collaboration started with the most recent James Bond film No Time to Die, where the Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 XE played a nice role.
To celebrate that happy fact, despite the film’s release being postponed due to the corona pandemic, a Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition was launched in May 2020. The bike was described by the British at the time as a ‘very special, limited edition Scrambler 1200 with a unique 007 design’.
Where the worldwide edition of the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition was limited to only 250 copies, the now announced Speed Triple RR Bond Edition has gone a considerable step further in terms of exclusivity, of which only 60 will be produced. One for each year of James Bond history.
The new Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition features a refined tri-color scheme in Black, Granite Gray and Storm Gray with the official “60 Years of Bond” logo on the sides of the tank.
All 25 James Bond films, in their original font, are featured on the eye-catching Bond Edition tank. Including the most recent film, No Time To Die, which, as mentioned, kicked off Triumph as a motorcycle supplier to Bond.
The head fairing features beautiful and striking gun barrel prints, which nod to one of the most iconic film opening sequences of all time. The hand-painted gold striping over the head fairing and tail section has been the finishing touch, according to the British.
The stealthy look of the new Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition is topped off with high-quality custom gold-tone logos all over the bike, which complement the gold of the Öhlins forks. The triumph Triumph logo on the tank also stands out with its unique gold detailing, which can also be found on the Speed Triple 1200 RR logo on the side fairing.
The Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition is limited to only 60 copies worldwide, which makes it quite unique. Each is numbered from 1 to 60 on a special plaque on the triple clamp bearing the official James Bond logo.
To protect the bike in true James Bond style, every limited edition RR comes with a custom 007 motorcycle cover for indoor use. The cover is also finished with custom James Bond details. Finally, each of the 60 bikes comes with a unique certificate of authenticity, hand-signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor.
The Speed Triple 1200 RR Bond Edition costs € 27,495 in the Netherlands, € 25,295 at our southern neighbors, but that is purely for information. All RR Bond Editions that were available for the Benelux have already been sold.
