Honda Prologue

Honda pulls the curtain on the production version of the Prologue, its first electric-only SUV. The brand developed the Prologue together with General Motors in the United States and will deliver the EV there from 2024. Honda is positioning the Prologue in its model range above the CR-V, of which the Japanese will also introduce a new generation in the Netherlands from next year.

Honda released a design sketch of the Prologue earlier this year, but now it’s time for the production version to show itself to the world. The Honda Prologue is the second, after the Honda E dedicated EV in the brand’s contemporary lineup. This time it is an SUV, which Honda positions above the CR-V. The brand does not say exactly how big the Prologue is. However, the car will have a wheelbase of 304.5 cm and it will be 20 cm longer and 12.5 cm wider than the new CR-V, which will also be available in the Netherlands from next year.

The full reveal with all the ins and outs of the Honda Prologue is yet to come. It is already known that Honda developed the EV together with General Motors. The car also uses its Ultium battery technology. The Prologue was designed in California, which isn’t entirely surprising given the new SUV’s target market. According to Honda, the front is inspired by that of the Honda E, although the similarities are quite hard to find in our opinion.

21 inch

To keep up with today’s trends, Honda measures the Prologue wheels with a diameter of no less than 21 inches. In addition, the brand joins the long line of manufacturers who from now on write their brand name on the tailgate of the car. In the interior, large screens and touch buttons predominate. In short, the design of both the outside and the inside is ready for the American market introduction in 2024. The further details and specifications are yet to be announced, but they will follow later. The Prologue is not coming to the Netherlands.
