Rivian recalls almost all delivered cars

Rivian has just started producing, or it has to recall almost all already delivered cars. Fortunately, it is a relatively minor procedure, although it is important to restore it.

After a fairly long and turbulent run, Rivian has finally picked up the pace with the production of the R1T and R1S, but now there is a setback. The American company is recalling more than 12,000 cars, reports Electric Cars Report based on a document from the US security watchdog NHTSA. It would concern almost all cars that Rivian has delivered to date.

The reason for the recall, which Rivian himself has initiated, is that part of the steering system may not be properly secured. In concrete terms, it would be a connection between a steering arm and a steering knuckle. If something comes loose there, it can lead to dangerous situations. Rivian says it will take about 30 days to complete all repairs. The operation would only take a few minutes by car.
