The Dutch Lightyear has taken over technology from a compatriot. Lightyear says it is buying important technology from Next Level Electronics, a Dutch company that specializes, among other things, in the development of power electronics.

As you may know, Lightyear is a company that emerged from the Solar Team Eindhoven. Employees of Lightyear and other former students of the Solar Team Eindhoven are also responsible for the establishment of Next Level Electronics, an electronics company with which Lightyear has collaborated, among other things, for the development of inverters. That collaboration has been enjoyable.

Lightyear is taking over the technological designs from Next Level Technologies that, according to the developer of the Lightyear 0, are crucial for the efficiency of its powertrains. The technical designs should help Lightyear further in the development and production of a more efficient platform for its electric solar cars.

The Lightyear 0 is the first model, but certainly not the last if it is up to the ambitious start-up. Lightyear is working on the 2, which should be a lot more accessible than the Lightyear 0.
