Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept

With the Charger Daytona SRT Concept, Dodge gave a preview in August of how the Charger could dry up in a future full of electric cars. The brand has now released the first specifications of its fairly concrete electric harbinger.

Gone are the days when a car like the Dodge Charger always had a V6 or V8. Earlier this year, Dodge showed the Charger Daytona SRT Concept. That was a special preview of the successor to the current Charger. That will not only be a two-door instead of a sedan, but also a fully electric model. Technical specifications of the Charger Daytona SRT Concept have so far kept Dodge under wraps, but now the brand is releasing the first technical data.

Dodge reports a base version that is 455 hp strong. For that variant, Dodge will soon offer upgrades that enable power levels of 495 hp and 535 hp. But there is room for more. A step above the 455 hp variant and its upgraded versions comes a second engine variant with 590 hp. Also for that version, Dodge will soon offer two power upgrades to 630 hp and 670 hp. The above ratings are for the Charger with 400v architecture. Dodge also says it will come up with a Banshee variant with 800v on-board voltage. For those Chargers, count on powers that are at least close to the current Charger with Hellcat machines.
