Electric Citroën ë-C4 X: from €40,840

In the middle of this year, Citroën presented a new and fairly unique model in the form of the C4 X. The C4 X is a sister model of the equally existing Citroën C4, but has a completely different stern. In contrast to the C4, the Citroën C4 X does not have a fifth door, but a real sedan hatch. That makes the C4 X a high-standing sedan, although the brand describes the car itself as a ‘four-door fastback’. The Citroën C4 X is 24 centimeters longer than the regular C4, but differs from its hatchback brother in more ways. The Citroën ë-C4 X has a starting price of €40,840 in the Netherlands. That amount is for the Citroën ë-C4 X with the well-known 136 hp electric motor and the 50 kWh battery pack, executed as a Feel. This means that it is basically €600 more expensive than the equally motorized and equipped Citroën ë-C4. The Citroën ë-C4 X is also available as a Feel Back and as a Shine and will cost €41,600 and €44,690 in succession. The Citroën ë-C4-without-X costs €700 less in those flavors.

Remarkably enough, the Citroën ë-C4 X is a crossover sedan

The 4.6 meter long Citroën ë-C4 X sprints to a speed of 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and the top speed is regulated at 150 km/h. The range is up to 360 kilometers. The already well-known ë-C4 notes a similar WLTP range that of 357 kilometers behind its name. The ë-C4 X owes its slightly longer range to its more aerodynamic shape. The average consumption of the ë-C4 X is 15 kWh/100 km, that of the ë-C4 16 kWh/100 km. The luggage space of Citroën’s latest EV is 510 liters. If you flatten the rear seats, you can store 1,360 liters in it. The ë-C4-without-X can carry 380 liters of material and offers 1,250 liters of storage space with the tailgate folded down. Significantly less, although that space is more easily accessible.
