Not too great yet

Porsche is doing good business with the electric Taycan. In three years, the brand has produced 100,000 units of the electric Taycan.
In September 2019, Porsche introduced the Taycan to the world, an electric slick-lined sedan that debuted as Turbo and Turbo S, but of which various engine versions now exist. The Taycan is now available in unnamed basic flavor and as 4S and GTS. The Taycan delivery range was later expanded with the stationary Sport Turismo and the Cross Turismo with cross elements. The Taycan range seems to attract enough customers to the Porsche showrooms. After three years, Porsche has produced the 100,000th Taycan.
The anniversary car is a Neptune blue Taycan Turbo S, the no less than 761 hp top version that zooms to 100 km/h in 2.9 counts. In the Netherlands, 1,616 Taycans have now been registered. Last year, the Taycan was the most popular Porsche in our country with 631 registered copies, the EV was ahead of the Cayenne (594 units), 911 (407 units), Panamera (142 units) and Macan (102 units). Also at an international level, the Taycan was not the most popular Porsche in 2021. In 2021, the brand sold 41,296 Taycans worldwide, which meant that the electric Porsche had to tolerate the Macan (88,362 units) and the Cayenne (83,071 units).
The Taycan is the first, but obviously not the last electric Porsche. The brand is working on an electric Macan, on an electric successor to the 718 series and reportedly on an electric SUV that will still be positioned above the Cayenne.
