Many Germans, a Chinese and a Dutchman
The year is almost over and so it is high time for international motoring journalists and drivers to announce their toppers of this year. Das Goldene Lenkrad once again presents several winners this year.
The winners of the prestigious Das Goldene Lenkrad car award (also known as the Golden Steering Wheel) have been announced. After extensive testing, which took place as usual at the Lausitzring, one car was crowned the best in each category. Our own editor-in-chief Damiaan Hage, among others, once again took a seat in the jury of the election organized by AutoBild. There were various categories with very different winners. The biggest winner is Porsche, which won a Goldene Lenkrad with two cars. The Dutch Lightyear also won prizes.

Of 47 recently appeared cars, the readers of, among others, AutoBild A total of three models per category were sent to the final of Das Goldene Lenkrad to prove themselves in their different categories. The above cars subsequently emerged as winners. It is striking that the Skoda Enyaq also won a Goldene Lenkrad last year in the then separate ‘electric SUV’ category. The top model RS iV, which was released last year, now takes the lead in the general mid-range SUV category. It is also striking that there is a Chinese winner with the Nio ET7. That is quite an achievement, because usually European models win.
