Third place in the team

Daniel Ricciardo returns to the Red Bull Formula 1 team. From 2023 he will work as a test driver on his ‘old nest’.
An official announcement from Ricciardo or Red Bull has not yet been made, but Red Bull top advisor Helmut Marko has confirmed Ricciardo’s return. According to the German Sky, which picked up the news, it will mainly be about test work. Liam Lawson is named as reserve driver. The cheerful Australian Daniel Ricciardo also drove for Red Bull between 2014 and 2018, where he was Max Verstappen’s teammate for the last three seasons.
The two got along well and often appeared in hilarious videos on social media. In 2019 Ricciardo moved to Renault, to move back to McLaren in 2021. His departure there was previously announced. As a result, it was feared that Daniel Ricciardo would leave F1 altogether, but it looks like he has found a place at the trusted Red Bull. Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez will remain the regular drivers for that team.
