Hyundai will launch a sporty top version of the Ioniq 5 next year. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N promises an extraordinarily powerful hot hatch to become. The brand itself now shows a first image of its possibly more than 580 hp strong muscle bundle.

In a video in which Hyundai once again highlights the RN22e and N Vision 74 shown in the middle of this year, the brand gives a glimpse of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. The Ioniq 5 is the first electric Hyundai to come with a sporty N version. Hyundai does not yet report technical specifications, but it does say that the Ioniq 5 N will be on the market in 2023.

Although Hyundai is not yet releasing information about the power of the Ioniq 5 N, we can already tell you with certainty how powerful it will be. The aforementioned RN22e that Hyundai showed this year already gave that away. The RN22e acted as a wild preview of an N version of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and received a 585 hp and 740 Nm strong powertrain. The technical brother of the Ioniq 5 and 6 from Kia already has such a 585 hp strong GT variant. It sprints to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and we aim for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N to be able to do the same soon.

The currently strongest Hyundai Ioniq 5 has two electric motors that deliver 325 hp together. In that case you always have the 77.4 kWh battery that we also expect in the N version. Hyundai also supplies the Ioniq 5 with a 58 kWh battery and a 170 hp electric motor on the rear axle. Above that is a 229 hp rear-wheel drive variant with a 77.4 kWh battery.
