I am 16 years old and I eat burgers, chocolate and pizzas very regularly. Yet my weight is not increasing. How did that happen?

When I was little I was a bit chubby but as I got older I got thinner. Maybe it’s from my mom because she’s thin too. I eat a lot of sandwiches, chocolate, sweets, etc. every day and I train 2 times a week.

Answer

Best,

You are not gaining weight despite your ‘bad eating habits’ but you are still very young. You may still be in the growth spurts, especially during this period, boys need a lot of calories. You can safely eat a lot of sandwiches and sometimes chips or chocolate is also possible. as long as you don’t eat that every day because once you’re an adult, you don’t need that much energy anymore and a good, varied diet is necessary. you should actually eat all foods (brown bread, potatoes, rice, vegetables, grains, cheese, milk, meat or fish….).

You still train 2 x a week, so you also need a lot of extra calories.

Don’t worry too much about your weight but try to eat healthy. Often the pounds come on too quickly when you get older, and that is not the intention now.
